How to Grow Lupins

A must in the cottage garden, stately spikes of Lupins provide colour in early summer and are truly stunning. The perennial varieties will come back year after year.

When to Sow

Sow seeds undercover between February and July and in the autumn for annual varieties.

How to Sow

Sow into tray of Gro-Sure Seed & Cutting Compost and keep at around 10-15c (50-60f).

Pot on small plants once established and gradually acclimatise to outside conditions over 2-3 weeks.

Plant out from early summer onwards.

Flowering

Early sowings will flower the same year whereas sowings made later will flower for the first time the following summer in June and July.
