  • Start sowing vegetable seeds. For sowing in pots and trays always be sure to use fresh, clean compost that has been allowed to acclimatise to room temperature Westland John Innes Seed Sowing Compost with Sure Start  is specially formulated to nurture your precious seedlings and cuttings. John Innes Seed Sowing Compost with Sure Start is a loam-based compost with added peat, horticultural grit and nutrients and is the preferred choice of many experienced gardeners.
  • Keep an eye out for weeds in the veg garden. In milder weather weed seedlings may start to germinate and get a head start on your vegetable plants. Hoe these off before they become established.   Use Westland Resolva 24 ready to use weedkiller on persistent weeds such as docks, dandelions and other weeds with deep roots.
