Seasonal Tips for Feb & Mar - Acid Loving Plants
Many acid loving plants flower early in the season so it’s important to support their early growth with nutrient rich plant foods and specially formulated composts. Choose products that are dedicated to these specialist plants, anything else will compromise their health and cause potential problems.
- Feed acid-loving plants now with Rhododendron, Azalea & Camellia Dilute n Grow Plant Food. Dilute in water and apply liberally around the roots of your plants. If the soil is dry water it thoroughly first.
- Treat containerised Azaleas and Rhododendrons to an early feed of Rhododendron, Azalea & Camellia Dilute n Grow Plant Food.
- Top-dress around all ericaceous plants such as Pieris, Heathers, Rhododendrons and Azaleas with John Innes Ericaceous Compost or Rhododendron, Azalea and Camellia compost with added John Innes.
