Weeding & Mulching Bulbs

Weeds in your garden are not only unsightly but also compete with your plants for vital nutrients and water. Keep beds and borders, where bulbs are growing, weed free by regularly applying a mulch. Choose Bed & Border Chipped Bark, Landscape Bark or Golden Pine Bark for large areas. For smaller borders and containers opt for Decorative Mini Bark.

Mulching is also great for retaining moisture within the soil and for keeping warmth in the ground. Mulching in Autumn can help to protect fragile roots from cold winter weather. Mulching in spring can protect roots from the scorching effects of the sun during a particularly hot summer. For more information on applying a mulch see our guide on How to Apply a Mulch.
