Location
When you are choosing where in your garden to grow your fruit and vegetables it is a good idea to keep the following points in mind:
- most crops like lots of sunshine, south facing is ideal
- the site should be sheltered from the wind
- avoid overhanging tree branches and shade cast by buildings or hedges
- good access to water can save time if you need to water your crops frequently (try connecting a waterbutt)
