The plants, trees, vegetables, fruits and shrubs that we tend to so lovingly in our gardens are a real feast for the eye – sadly they are also often admired as a potential meal by the hundred and one unwanted pests with whom we share our gardens.
Whether they fly, crawl or slither towards their dinner Westland provides a safe and effective treatment to turn off their appetite. All our pest control products utilise the very latest technology, delivering fast and efficient treatment.
For effective pest control on your ornamental plants both indoors and out, the Bug Attack range is ideal. It kills on contact and, being systemic, will provide long lasting protection against scale insects, whitefly, thrips, mealy bugs, leaf beetle and aphids.
Bug Attack is available in both one and three litre ready-to-use sprays, as a 250ml liquid concentrate, which makes up to 50 litres of spray, and in a convenient pin format ideal for use with container plants.
The ready to use version has an added active ingredient making it is also effective against red spider mite, and added fertiliser which encourages healthy plant growth.
The ready to use versions of Bug Attack contain Thiamethoxam and Abamectin and the concentrate and pin format contains Thiamethoxam.
Other pest control products from Westland include the 1 litre ready- to-use Fungus Attack + spray that provides long lasting systemic protection against blackspot, mildew and rust on ornamentals and roses. It contains Penaconazole. It is also available as a 250ml concentrate that will make up to 50 litres of spray.
When fighting against ant infestations, especially during the summer heat, Ant Attack 2 kills on contact and is a long-lasting repellent. It also helps kill the nests. It contains Cypermetherin, so as well as being effective against ants it also controls other pests such as cockroaches, crickets, silverfish, bedbugs, booklice, ticks, fleas, mites, mosquitoes, moths, wasps, centipedes and beetles. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
There is nothing more frustrating and debilitating that seeing all your gardening hard work go to waste when it comes to slugs and snails munching through your favourite plants, vegetables and fruit.
If nature does not seem to be giving a helping hand to prevent these pests from eating your prize potatoes and strawberries, then there are three slug and snail control products available. Slug Attack pellets contain Metaldehyde and is in a mini pellet format, ensuring better coverage around your edible and non-edible plants. They are shower proof and contain an animal repellent. These are available in a handy 750g container.
Slug Buster is also a pellet containing Metaldehyde, however this superior pellet is rainproof, and will remain active against slugs and snails for an extended period. There is also an animal repellent in its formulation. It is available in an 800g pack.
Slug Blocker is a gel that is applied to work as a barrier around the plants, so they remain protected. It is ideal for use with pot plants or containers and the rain-resistant formulation lasts for up to ten days.
