Cosmos

Cosmos offer a burst of vibrant and pastel colour and benefit from a long flowering period and distinctive feathery foliage.   For fully double pink blooms on strong stems try ‘Cosmos Double Click Rose Bon Bon’ or for vibrant orange ‘Cosmos Phoenix.’

Sow Cosmos seeds from February to April in Surestart Seed & Cutting Compost in the greenhouse or on a kitchen windowsill.

Harden off throughout May and plant out once all risk of frost has passed. Cosmos thrives in a sunny spot with well drained soil. Incorporate organic matter such as organic Farmyard Manure or Soil Conditioner first to improve soil structure and boots nutrient levels.

Feed throughout the season with Nutri All Purpose Plant Food.

Dead head regularly to encourage prolonged flowering.
