Persistent garden weeds can be controlled using the new Weed Buster Weedkiller from Westland. This powerful weed control contains glyphosate, a systemic weedkiller that is absorbed by the plants leaves and stems and taken down into the roots. It contains the highly effective active ingredient Glyphosate and kills the whole of the weed plant including the roots, dead. This also prevents perennial weeds from re-sprouting from the base. Weed Buster breaks down naturally into the soil and leaves no residue.
Weed Buster Weedkiller is packaged in an easy to use trigger spray that allows you to apply it directly onto weeds for effective control. Weed Buster may need reapplying if rain falls within 6 hours of treatment.
Uses:
Use Weed Buster Weedkiller on unwanted vegetation. Do not spray along the bottom of hedges. Do not use on lawns unless you intend to kill the grass. Avoid the spray contacting any cultivated plants and other desired vegetation.

How can I deal with bindweed that has wrapped itself around all the plants in my border? I don’t want to dig it all out and start again.
Bindweed is a very persistent weed that can be tricky to control. Your best bet is to encourage it to grow early in the season. Place bamboo canes into the border at intervals and train the vigorous bindweed shoots up these canes, keeping them away from your plants as much as possible. Wait until the bindweed has really got going and then carefully cover over your border plants as much as possible and apply Weed Buster to the exposed green and leafy bindweed growth. Ideally apply Weed Buster early in the morning when the forecast is dry for at least 6 hours and the wind is calm BUT be careful. Any drops of Weed Buster that fall on the plants that you want to keep will be damaged by the weedkiller. It may take up to 4 weeks for the effects to start to show and you will probably need to reapply Weed Buster more than once to have a profound effect on this vigorous weed. Remember that this weedkiller needs to get to the plant roots before it completes its job so don’t be too hasty digging up the weeds after application, wait at least 7 days.
