J. Arthur Bower’s Garden Lime is ideal for breaking down heavy clay soils to improve drainage and promote strong root growth. It also counteracts high soil acidity to encourage healthy plant growth and enables a wider range of plants to grow successfully. The addition of Garden Lime to soil in the vegetable garden is beneficial to brassicas such as cabbages, broccoli, Brussels sprouts and
cauliflowers.

How to use

• Garden Lime can be applied at any time of year, but is best applied in late autumn or winter on frost-free soil.
• Scatter evenly over the soil surface at a rate of 100-200g per square metre (4-7oz/sq.yd.) and fork well in.
• Avoid contact with plant foliage.
• For normal soils, use every third year. Highly acidic soils may need annual applications.
