Westland Golden Pine Bark has been specially screened to remove dust and small bark particles making it a particularly attractive garden mulch. The finer grade of chips makes it a good choice for island beds, small borders and pots and containers.
Uses: Use as a decorative mulch for beds, borders, pots and containers.

Green Credentials: Westland Golden Pine Bark is produced from sustainable European pine plantations that are grown for the timber industry. But because it derived from a wide variety of sources it has not gained FSC approval.
Why use Westland Golden Pine Bark? Westland Golden Pine Bark is perfect for decoratively mulching low maintenance patio planters or containers & window boxes. It reduces the need for frequent weeding and minimises weeding time. It also helps to conserve soil water and provide thermal insulation for plant roots.
How do I use it? For use on existing patio planters & containers, prepare the area by removing all weeds & debris. Leave a 5-7cm space at the top of the planter/container. Spread a layer of bark 3-5cm deep over the top of the compost or soil. This will provide important thermal insulation, prevent water loss and make the planters/containers easier to water. For use in pots & window boxes, prepare the area by removing all weeds and debris. Leave a 5-7cm space at the top of the planter/container. Spread a layer of bark 2.5-5 cm deep over the area ensuring that the mulch reaches under the plant canopy and covers the root area. For use on beds & borders, remove any annual weeds as they appear. To maintain a good mulch layer replenish the area with fresh bark annually.
