Indoor Plant Compost

This compost provides ideal conditions for most indoor plants, with all the essential nutrients for healthy flower, leaf and root growth. It contains composted bark and perlite producing an open, free draining compost, vital for healthy growth. An added wetting agent aids re-wetting if compost is allowed to dry out. Sterilised loam has also been added to help regulate nutrient availability and sustain feeding of plants. Indoor plant compost contains optimum levels of phosphorous to encourage healthy roots, whilst preventing excessive root growth, so allowing plants to perform to their full potential without becoming pot-bound.

Uses: For potting or re-potting houseplants all year round and for planting bottle gardens. Ideal for cacti.

feeding: The compost contains enough nutrients to meet plant requirements for the first 5-6 weeks. Thereafter, for best results commence feeding with Feed-all Plant Food.

Nutrient Content & pH: The compost contains a balanced fertiliser complete with trace elements and has a pH of 5.5 to 6.0.

  • Q: When should I repot my cactus?
  • A:  If it is a young plant then it should be repotted annually in spring, into a pot a little larger than the one it is currently in. If it is an old established plant then repot it only when it has completely filled the existing pot with roots, and then only into a slightly larger pot. Repot in spring using Indoor Plant Compost. This is ideal for cactus plants because it has added perlite to keep the compost open and free draining. From spring to summer, water your plant as required and feed weekly with Feed-all Plant Food to encourage flowers. Remember that some cacti prefer to be slightly pot bound in order to produce flowers.
