Q. What is the problem with standard composts?
A. Normal composts dry out and can be almost impossible to re-wet, preventing new roots from penetrating the media therefore making it difficult for the plants to take up adequate moisture and nutrients and they suffer.
Q. How do West+ composts differ from other standard composts?
A. West+ composts contain 50% West+ wood fibre, a unique fibrous material that allows the air to reach the roots and draws water through the whole volume of the compost resulting in healthier, stronger plants. A first in growing media.
Q. How long will West+ composts feed my plants for?
A. West+ composts hold a base nutrient supply that will feed plants for up to 6 weeks, however new and improved West+ Multi-Purpose Compost can now feed plants for up to 4 months.
Q. Will I have to water my plants more using West+ Composts?
A. No. Because West+ helps to hold the water for longer, you don’t need to water your plants as frequently or as much as standard composts. In fact, West+ Container & Basket Compost is specifically formulated to save water, requiring 50% less watering.*
Q. How many baskets / containers will the 60L or 25L bag fill?
A. A 25L bag of compost will fill 2 hanging baskets while a 60L pack will fill 4-6 large pots.
