Brand Manager (Pet) – Westland Horticulture
Due to phenomenal growth and success, we have a fantastic new opportunity to join our award-winning pet marketing team in Driffield. This is a very exciting opening for a marketer who is passionate, driven and shares a love for brand innovation! Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Category, we’re looking for an creative Brand Manager to be the champion for our bird care range: Peckish, Gardman and Bucktons.
Brand Manager – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Be the divisional brand champion for Peckish, Gardman and Bucktons.
- Be the champion for the Garden Centre channel.
- Create and manage all new and existing products to ensure all commercial targets are met.
- Develop a strong relationship with key sales and support on customer presentations.
- Create, manage and oversee Point of Sale requirements to deliver brand growth
- Deliver a full communication plan with clear market share, financial objectives, range management and channel strategy
- Be the champion of bird care and any brands which are created within the channel
- Manage and coordinate all brand promotional activities, communication plans, trade communications and events
- Develop and implement marketing plans and projects for new and existing products
- Manage the productivity of the marketing plans and projects.
- Liaise with media and advertising agencies.

The successful person will have ..
- Education to degree level or a marketing qualification
- At least 4 years marketing or brand management experience preferably in FMCG, Horticulture, Retail or Consumer Goods.
- Previous experience launching products into the B2B market
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset with multitasking skill
- Strong commercial acumen, including ability to work with complex figures
- Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills are essential
- High attention to detail – essential
