Seeds to sow in January
It’s a great time to plant vegetable seeds including summer brassicas such as cabbage and cauliflower onions and peppers
It’s also a perfect time to start some hardy annual bedding plants such as Sweet Peas, Antirrhinums, Stocks, or perennials such as Begonias or Delphinium. However, it can take a couple of years to reach flowering size, though it’s well worth their slow start in the long run.
- Broad Beans
- Herbs e.g Basil.
- Iceland Poppies.
- Pelargonium (Geraniums)
- Sweet Peas
What you will need
- Seed trays, module trays or pots with drainage holes.
- Seed sowing compost
- Hand Trowel
- Cling film/ glass or a heated propagator with lid
