Scarlet Emperor has been a firm favourite for decades! It produces long straight pods of a beautiful flavour. This variety also freezes well after slicing and blanching.
If you want your seeds to germinate quickly you can put fleece over the soil – this helps to retain the heat in the soil. It also doubles up as protection from pests.
