How to Care for the Birds in Summer

Even in the summer, birds need a helping hand in the garden.

Food shortages can happen at any time of year, even in the height of summer and if this happens while young birds are still small, it could harm their ability to survive.

It’s best to provide a high protein food that will support the development of birds and assist with their moulting process during the hot summer months. Peckish Complete Seed & Nut Mix is perfect.

The warm weather makes it all the more important to practice good hygiene, so make sure you have a bird feeder that you can easily take apart and clean, such as Peckish Seed & Nyger Feeder.

Also provide a plenty supply of clean water, to ensure your garden birds have enough to drink and don’t become dehydrated. This is especially important during very hot weather.
