Westland Horticulture is seeking a Technical Manager to lead technical and quality functions across the Southport site. You’ll maintain robust Quality Management Systems, ensure legal and technical compliance, oversee site accreditations, and support product innovation and commercial value.

You will lead the technical team, manage QMS and site standards, ensure product compliance, and maintain strong technical governance across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop site Quality Management Systems and ensure compliance with all technical, legal, and customer requirements.
• Investigate non-conformances and drive corrective actions.
• Provide technical support to Sales, customers, and internal teams.
• Approve compliance documents and manufacturing declarations.
• Ensure finished goods meet brand and customer specifications.
• Oversee process control, audits, hygiene standards, and product traceability.
• Lead HACCP and maintain all associated documentation.
• Manage raw material and packaging testing, supplier audits, and approval systems.
• Oversee CAPA, crisis management, product recall processes, and quality KPIs.
• Support NPD, BOM changes, document control, and metrology standards.
• Ensure pest control and maintain high site presentation standards.

Skills & Experience

• Degree or equivalent in a Technical/Quality discipline.
• Strong knowledge of QMS and technical systems.
• Proven management experience in consumer goods (pet or food manufacturing ideal).
• Excellent technical communication and stakeholder skills.
