- Take the long plastic tube to connect with the plastic flow control device
- Take an empty water bottle, fill it with water and screw the flow control device on to the top of the bottle
- Turning the knob on the flow control device will adjust the flow of water
- You will notice that air bubbles will form on the inside of the plastic bottle which indicates that water is flowing out of the device
- When the number of the air bubbles becomes less, it means that the water flow is less
- Insert the flow control device into the soil from the pot so that the water bottle is upside down
