Join our growing team in Dungannon as a Project Design Engineer and play a key role in developing state of the art , high-quality solutions in-material handling, within the manufacturing sector.
You will work on enhancing our existing product portfolio and help lead the design of new, high-performing engineering capability across a wide range of industrial applications.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities include:
- Design and develop improvements to existing material handling and conveyor equipment.
- Provide engineering solutions for new product development.
- Use 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD or SolidWorks) to produce detailed models and manufacturing drawings.
- Generate and maintain accurate technical documentation, including BOMs and Engineering Change Requests.
- Participate in regular Engineering Change Meetings and support cross-functional collaboration.
- Liaise with production, operations, and other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and high-quality outputs.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong proficiency in 2D & 3D CAD (AutoCAD or SolidWorks).
- Proven experience in heavy equipment or machinery design – preferably in material/bulk handling or conveyor systems.
- Hands-on understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with welded component design and fabrication techniques.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and project management capability.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and database tools.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in an engineering design role within a similar industry.
- A strong grasp of design principles, industry standards, and engineering best practices.
