Weeds, Pests and Diseases
Weeds are basically plants that are growing where they are not wanted. They are generally plants that are fast growing and thrive in pretty much most types of soil.
Weeds are not only unsightly but also compete for any available food and water and provide shelter for a number of garden pests and disease. Early spring is the best time to make a start on weed control in the garden. As the weather starts to warm up annual weeds quickly germinate and colonise bare ground, while perennial weeds start into growth.
