Pet food brand, Nature’s Feast, has issued some timely advice ahead of the forthcoming Bonfire Night celebrations.
Rabbits, Guinea Pigs and Hamsters can get very scared of the loud noises and flashes that come with fireworks, just like dogs and cats. Advanced planning can make a real difference and help to minimise the stress on these small animals.

- Cover their cage to minimise the bright flashes caused by fireworks.
- Leave a radio on near the cage to act as a comfort.
- If your pet usually lives outside, consider moving them into a garage or shed for the night so that they feel safer.
