Remember, remember, prepare your Rabbit for the 5th November!

Pet food brand, Nature’s Feast, has issued some timely advice ahead of the forthcoming Bonfire Night celebrations.

Rabbits, Guinea Pigs and Hamsters can get very scared of the loud noises and flashes that come with fireworks, just like dogs and cats. Advanced planning can make a real difference and help to minimise the stress on these small animals.

Kirk Rothwell, Brand Manager said: “Don’t forget fireworks are used throughout the Bonfire Night season these days and not just November 5. We’ve put together a few pointers on how to make fireworks less stressful for your small animal pets and a bit more enjoyable for you.”

  1. Cover their cage to minimise the bright flashes caused by fireworks.
  2.  Leave a radio on near the cage to act as a comfort.
  3. If your pet usually lives outside, consider moving them into a garage or shed for the night so that they feel safer.
  4. Give them a tasty treat to snack on to help distract them from the noise. Our Nature’s Feast Snack Selection treats are perfect for this.

Nature’s Feast manufacture a range of foods for Rabbits, Guinea Pigs and Hamsters that encourage pets to forage, yet provide them with optimum nutrition. All products are visually appealing, plus nutritionally and emotionally good for pets.
