Unwins launch seed range to appeal to food enthusiasts

HOME chefs can take their dishes to the next level by growing their own ingredients, says leading seed retailer Unwins.

The brand has launched its ‘Bursting with Flavour’ range of seeds to help food enthusiasts reach new flavour heights in their home-cooked meals. The range includes a mix of easy to grow fruit, vegetable and herb seeds that can be grown in small spaces, no large vegetable plot needed!

Each of the 39 varieties in the range have been chosen to deliver great flavours and can be used in a wide range of dishes from the traditional Sunday roast to spiralized courgette spaghetti. These include:

Beetroot Cardeal

Extremely sweet variety with the highest sugar content of any beetroot. Quick to crop and produces a high yield.

Broccoli (Sprouting) Claret F1

British bred, purple sprouting variety. Perfect in roast dinners and Asian dishes, as well as very tasty when steamed. Produces extra-large succulent spears which are rich in vitamins.

Tomato Cherry Baby

Unwins exclusive! Fantastic new cherry tomatoes, producing masses of fruits with the sweetest flavour we have ever tasted.

Amy Roberts, Brand Manager for Unwins said: “Top chefs and gardeners have long since known that home-grown crops are the secret to simple great flavours.

“We want to inspire food enthusiasts of all levels to grow their own ingredients and create home cooked meals that are healthy and bursting with flavour. Plus they will get a real sense of satisfaction knowing their meals are home-grown and home-cooked!

The Unwins ‘Bursting with Flavour’ range is available at all good garden centres.
