The best way to grow strawberries is to use cold-stored crowns, or freshly-lifted crowns. Fresh crowns need to be planted in October, whilst cold-stored crowns should be planted in February. These will provide a small crop of fruit 60 days later, and a full crop the following year. There are several different varieties available such as Honeoye (early), Elsanta (main ) or Symphony (late)
