Best products for a hardwearing lawn
If you have pets and/or children or your lawn is in shady areas, a hardwearing lawn is what you need to keep it in the best possible condition. We recommend using the following 2 products to create the perfect, hardwearing lawn.
Gro-sure Smart Lawn Seed Shady & Dry
What is it?
Gro-Sure Smart Lawn Seed Shady & Dry is a blend of ultra shade resistant and drought tolerant seed varieties. This provides a very resilient grass that is capable of growing even under minimal sunlight. So its perfect if you have large trees or bushes covering sunlight from your lawn.
When do I use it?
Sow between March and October, but only when the soil temperature is between 10°C-18°C.
How do I use it?
Apply 30g/m2 for overseeding or 40g/m2 for a new lawn or bare soil. Avoid sowing if soil temperature is below 10°C or over 20°C. Keep well-watered until established (5-8cm long).
What to expect
Whether you’re starting with a new lawn, or want to make your existing lawn more resilient, Gro-Sure Smart Lawn Seed Shady & Dry is the ideal start. Apply to create your new lawn, or overseed in spring and autumn to make it thick, hardwearing, and strong. You’ll see seed germination in around two weeks if you keep the lawn well-watered.

What is it?
A natural child and pet friendly lawn feed that greens your lawn and prevents weeds and moss.
When do I use it?
Apply from February to October when grass is actively growing. DO NOT apply during drought or freezing conditions.
How do I use it?
Apply at a rate of 32g/m2. Water granules in well within 48 hours if no rain falls to activate the feed. Re-apply monthly as required.
