How to Use

Rework the compost between your hands to allow it to regain its intended texture.

Planting Outdoors

  • Dig a 4-6” hole and add a layer of compost.
  • Place bulbs firmly into compost with the shoot facing upwards.
  • Cover bulbs with compost, leaving the shoot visible.
  • Firm in and water thoroughly.
  • Feed regularly after flowering.

Planting Indoors

  • Half fill container with compost.
  • Place bulbs firmly into the compost with the shoot facing upwards.
  • Cover with compost, leaving the shoot visible.
  • Firm in, water and place in a dark, cold, airy position.
  • Water as necessary.
  • When shoots reach 1-2” high, move to a light, cool place. Once fully green, move into a warmer place.

Aftercare

Once all foliage has died down after flowering, dry bulbs out and store in a cool dry, frost free place.

ZINC COMPLEX TO BUILD STRENGTH FROM WITHIN

Zinc complex helps build and sustain plant immunity, enabling them to better withstand pest and disease attack, resulting in nourished, protected, and flourishing rose plants. Zinc complex is also important in the production of plant growth hormone auxin, which contributes to:

  • Improving the transport of water and nutrients around the plant
  • Promotes root and shoot growth for stronger, healthier plants
  • Encourages photosynthesis for plant energy production

General Advice

  • Not suitable for ericaceous (lime hating) plants.
  • Store in a dry frost free place away from weed killers and other garden chemicals.
  • Reseal bag after use.
  • Wear gloves when handling.

A. Bulb Planting Mix does not contain any organic feed elements so it shouldn’t be attractive to animals.

Q. Can I use this compost for raised beds?

A. We would not recommend using this for raised beds.

Q. Can I use this for houseplants?

A. Yes, Bulb Planting Mix can be used for houseplants however you would get better results using a compost specifically designed houseplants such as our Houseplant Potting Mix.
