Westland are proud to support VegPower who are on a mission to inspire kids to eat more veggies. As part of this, 5000 kids from Edinburgh will be growing their very own tomatoes from seed to fruit. They will begin their growing experience at school, then once their seeds have germinated they will bring them home to continue learning about the magic of growing. After summer, once they have grown their yummy tomatoes, they will take them back into school to create homemade tomato pasta sauce that they can enjoy with their families.
To support this fantastic cause, we have donated our very own Unwins Sweet Million Tomato Variety and growing kits to help each child enjoy their growing journey.
The VegPower Tomtastic initiative will help children learn about nature, where our food comes from and to enjoy delicious vegetables!
